Reduce Stress and Anxiety With the Tap of Your Fingers
When stress and anxiety try to wear you down, take control the power is yours. Think of your fingers as magic wands and use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique.) We all have energy meridian points running through our body.
Tapping the meridian points and using positive affirmations unblocks points of negative energy and replaces them with positive energy.
Use your fingertips and tap the points in the order below, if you get confused it’s okay keep going.
- Side of hand (karate chop point)
- Side of eye
- Under eye
- Under nose
- Under arm
- Top of head
On a scale of 1-10 think about how strong the feeling is, while tapping these points think of what it is your feeling, anger, worry, fear etc. Tap the points 5-8 times, doesn’t have to be exact. For example you might say:
I’m worried, I’m so worried, it’s weighing me down, and I have so much to do. Say this at all eight points your working with.
The worry might be due to a test or particular task that you need to accomplish. After the first round of tapping think about the worry and what’s causing it, use the scale again. If it was an eight what is it now?
Repeat the tapping process, take a deep breath and think about how you feel now? Then use tapping again but this time turn it around and say things like:
How did this worry get in? What made me feel so bad? I want to let it go; I don’t want to feel this way. Even though I feel this way, I accept and appreciate my-self three times.
Think about how you feel one more time, than tap again and this time use positive phrases like:
I choose to let my-self feel better, I don’t deserve to feel this way, and I choose to let peace in now.
Your Worth It
This may sound like a lot of work, but it can be done in about ten minutes or less and you are worth ten minutes, right?
The number of times you use the tapping process is really up to you, the important thing is to do what it takes to feel better.
You may need to use the process over a period of time for the same feelings, it’s okay your worth it, don’t get discouraged.
I’ve used this technique my-self when feeling quite angry, my tapping started out fast and angry. But as I went through the process I really did start to feel better.

Using I am willing phrases lets your mind know you want the feelings to change and opens the door to make it possible.
After using I am willing phrases you continue with the I do statements which confirm your desire. Your mind is a powerful tool; it can create worry, fear or peace and success.
Your fingers serve as a magic wand that’s works with your meridian energy points to release the negative energy stored up in your body.
The negative feelings we have are incorrect conclusions we come to based on past events or experiences. When this happens we expect it will happen again and it limits our expectations.
The lie that tells us we can’t affects what we pursue, how we behave and what we do. It’s time to break free of the limiting beliefs that hold us back and regain our power.
